First Gas Attach Anniversary - Ypres Salient

Special Memorial Weekend 22-25 April.  Zonnebeke Memorial Museum Paschendale.

On April the 22nd the Germans made their first use of chlorine gas. 90 years later the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 is commemorating this with an exceptional museum weekend with living history, battlefield tours, conference & concert. They are also opening a double exhibition on the Irish involvement in the First World War, made by the Royal Dublin Fusiliers Association and the Royal Irish Fusiliers Museum in Armagh. The first exhibition brings a complete survey of all Irish units, whilst the second tells the story of Sergeant Hugh Wilson, who was badly wounded on the 25th April 1915 near St-Julien.
